Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) connectivity issues

March 22, 2021: Silicon Valley Bank recently rolled out stronger authentication requirements for their customers. As a result, this is impacting our third-party banking connection partners and their ability to maintain a stable connection with Silicon Valley Bank. This means your bank connection may disconnect more frequently than usual. Our partners are currently working directly with Silicon Valley Bank to implement a long-term solution.

Once this issue has been resolved, we'll send out a notification to affected customers. We appreciate your patience while we work with our partners to resolve the issue.

SVB PINs

Silicon Valley Bank is unique in that it requires you to use an alphanumeric PIN between 8 and 25 characters long to link your bank account with Brex. As a reminder, SVB will ask for your direct connect PIN, which is different than the PIN tied to your SVB debit card.

If you don't remember your PIN, go to the My Security tab on the SVB online banking website to set up your unique and secure PIN.
