Connecting your bank

US Banks

Instantly connect through Plaid We recommend securely signing in with your banking credentials to connect your bank account through Plaid. This verifies your bank account for reimbursement and repayment use. To get started, search for your bank in the Plaid modal and follow the steps presented. Note: Brex facilitates all money movement through our own systems. Plaid is only used to verify ownership of your bank account to help prevent fraud.

Connect with account and routing numbers If your bank isn’t available through Plaid or you’d rather not sign in with your bank credentials, you can connect manually. To do so, scroll to the bottom of the Plaid popup until you see Link with account numbers Enter your account and routing number here. Within one business day, two micro-deposits will be made to your account. Once you receive these, you can return to your Task page to verify your account by inputting the amounts of the micro-deposits.

Global banks

Connect using local banking details Brex supports reimbursements in your local currency for bank accounts based outside of the US. Start by entering your personal address and local bank account details. The details requested are based on the country you selected in the previous step. If the information doesn’t align with your local account, click Back until you see Country Selection and ensure the country is correct.

Information sharing policy

Brex receives your bank account information from this connection, which is necessary to facilitate transfers for reimbursements and repayments. By manually connecting your account, you’ll give Brex visibility into your account and routing number, for the purpose of sending reimbursements.
