How Brex stores and manages data

Overview

As you use Brex to manage your company spend, you’re providing company data and documentation. For full transparency, we want you to know how that information is stored and managed, so you know exactly how secure it is.

Receipts

When you upload your receipt to a transaction, that receipt is being uploaded to a filestore hosted on AWS S3. AWS S3 is a widely used storage service that provides secure and stable availability. You can access uploaded receipts at any point with the receipt URL included in transaction exports. These URLs are cryptographically unguessable and encoded with an expiration period. After the expiration period, you must re-authenticate to download the receipt.
