Account or card admins can request a physical Brex card on behalf of active users by following the steps below.

Note: This process will only work if the user has already accepted their invitation to use Brex and does not already have a physical card.

Step 1: Under Team, search for the cardholder using the search bar and click their name.

Step 2: Next to the Cards section in the user details on the right, click the three dots and select Add physical card.

Step 3: Click Confirm and the user will receive an email asking them for their shipping address. The physical card will only be issued after the user has provided their shipping address.

If you're not able to request a physical card or complete any of the steps above, please reach out to Brex Support.

Account or card admins can request a new physical, virtual, or budget card on behalf of other users by following the steps below.

Step 1: Under Team, search for the cardholder using the search bar and click their name.

Step 2: In the Cards section in the user details on the right, click one of the following, depending on the card type you want to issue:

  • Order Brex card: Issues a physical and/or virtual card. This option is only available if the user doesn’t have a Brex card already. You will be able to select either a physical or virtual card, and the card can be assigned to different budgets.

  • Create virtual card: Issues a virtual card which is only assignable to one budget.

Step 3: Follow the prompts to provide details and choose your desired card type.

Step 4: If you choose a physical card, you’ll be asked to confirm your delivery address.

If you need your card sooner than 7-10 business days, click I need my physical card sooner on the Processing your delivery page in your dashboard or the Confirm your order details screen in your app.

You also have the option of assigning the user a new budget that they can use with their existing card if you’d like to better manage their spend. Please read How do I create or request a budget? for more details.
