How do I update my routing number with Paypal?

We recently transitioned to a new partner bank, Column National Association, so all Brex Cash accounts have new routing and account numbers. If you’re having issues updating your Brex Cash account details on your PayPal account, please follow the steps below.


Step 1: Find your account and routing number. You can use How do I find my account and routing number? as a guide.

Step 2: Call your PayPal account representative or customer support line at 1 (888) 221-1161. You’ll be asked to provide account details to verify that you’re a PayPal customer.

Step 3: Explain the following:

  • Brex has transitioned their partner bank from Radius/Lending Club to Column National Association.

  • A new routing and account number has been issued as part of this transition.

  • The new routing and account information (which is valid and active on the federal reserve database) is not being recognized by PayPal.

Step 4: The PayPal agent should manually update your new routing and account information. Ensure the number and name match the image below.

Step 5: Have the PayPal representative confirm that the new payment information has been manually inputted prior to ending the call.
