Setting limits for individual users can help you manage your company's spend. By default, new users' credit limits will be $0. A Brex admin can increase their limit by following the steps below.

Step 1: Click Team on the left side of your Brex dashboard. (This option isn’t currently available in your Brex app.)

Step 2: Under Users, enter the cardholder's name in the search bar and click on the user whose limit you want to increase.

Step 3: Scroll to the card details section on the right and click the three dots next to Cards.

Step 4: Select Edit monthly limit, change the amount, and click Save. Changes should be reflected immediately.

User limits can be larger than the account limit, but the account limit determines the total amount that your company can spend. Please read What is the difference between a credit limit and user limit? for more details.

Employees can also request limit increases from their dashboard under Card > Manage cards > Get a new card.

On Brex Empower, budgets will replace user limits to guide employee spending. Assign individuals to budgets with custom spending limits by following the steps in How do I create or request a budget?.
