How can I qualify for monthly payments?

There are 2 options for Brex cards and the differences are outlined in What are the differences between making daily and monthly payments?. To qualify you for a Brex card with monthly payments, we consider a variety of factors. Please read the relevant section below depending on your business type.

Startup companies

If you’re a startup company, we generally require:

  • A US Employee Identification Number (EIN)

If you're self-funded:

  • $1,000,000 minimum in a US-based bank account at the time of application.

If you have professional investors:

  • $50,000 minimum in a US-based bank account at the time of application.

Ecommerce companies

If you’re an ecommerce company, we require all of the above, plus $1,000,000 in a US-based bank account if you’re self-funded.

Small businesses

Here are some general requirements for small businesses:

  • You’ve been in business for at least 2 years.

  • You have more than 3 months of runway.

  • You connect a bank account.

  • You pass an Experian check.

  • You’re registered as C-Corp or S-Corp.

  • You have a functional website and external business confirmation through online sources.

  • You have $1M in a connected bank account at the time of application.

Note: These are the general requirements but not an exhaustive list of what our onboarding team considers when reviewing applications. Applicants who meet these requirements still might not be approved for monthly statements.
