# Documents for your account

Get answers to all of your questions regarding Brex

## Overview

Managing corporate spend might require different account documents, ranging from reports of spending to forms as required by your vendors.  
  
Below, we’ve included several examples of documents that our customers find useful, as well as guidelines for how to locate them.  
  
**Note: **Any table or document that you download as a CSV can be opened as a spreadsheet in Excel.

## Statements

As an account admin, card admin, bookkeeper, or any other user with the [specific product capability](https://www.brex.com/custom-roles), you can download statements from _Statements and documents_ in your Brex dashboard by following the steps below. If your account has been closed, you can still access your statements by logging into your dashboard and following the steps below. If you’re unable to log in, please contact Brex Support.

### Card statements

### In the dashboard

**Step 1: **Click your name in the top left of the dashboard and select _Statements and documents_.

**Step 2:** Select Card on the left pane under the Statements section.

**Step 3:** Your statements will appear in the list on this page as they are generated at the end of each statement cycle. To export, click the download icon to the right of each statement row. To download a CSV statement for your embedded partner spend only, select the three dots and click the embedded partner you would like to download a statement for.  
  
**Note: **You can find your outstanding balance by exporting in XLSX format.

**Note: **While you can only download a statement as a PDF, you can download a XLSX, CSV, HTML, or TXT report by going to _Account_ > _Credit_ > _Transactions_ and entering a date range.

### Brex business account statements

### In the dashboard

**Step 1: **Click your name in the top left of the dashboard and select _Statements and documents._

**Step 2:** Select _Banking_ on the left pane under the _Statements_ section.

**Step 3: **Your statements will appear in the _Banking statements_ table next to the specific Brex business account and are available within the dashboard within the first week of the following month. To export, click the download icon.

### Custom reports 

If you're on daily payments and need a monthly summary of your transactions, you can generate a custom credit account report for any date range. Account admins, card admins, bookkeepers, and any other users with the[ specific product capability](https://www.brex.com/custom-roles) can follow these steps.

### In the dashboard

**Step 1: **In your dashboard, go to _Accounts > Credit._

**Step 2: **If you have multiple entities, select the relevant billing group.

**Step 3: **Enter the date range you want the report to cover.

**Step 4: **Click _Download_ and select your file format — XLSX, CSV, PDF, or HTM.

### Reimbursement statements

### In the dashboard

**Step 1: **Click your name in the top left of the dashboard and select _Statements and documents._

**Step 2:** Select Reimbursement on the left pane under the Statements section.

**Step 3:** Your statements will appear in the table on this page as they are generated at the end of each statement cycle. To export, click the download icon to the right of each statement row.

## Transaction data downloads

In addition to the card statements you receive every statement period, you can also generate a custom report by configuring and downloading transaction tables at any time.

You can now customize your transaction data downloads by applying expense filters and selecting which columns you want to include.

### Card expenses

### In the dashboard

Account admins, card admins, and bookkeepers can download card expenses made by everyone on your team. Other role types can generate an expenses download for their personal expenses.

**Step 1:** In your dashboard, go to _Expenses_.

**Step 2:** Review and select the columns you want to apply for your custom report by clicking on the gear icon. The list of transactions will update automatically with the filters you’ve selected.

**Step 3 (_Optional)_: **If you’d like to save this view of your table for future downloads, select the _Save view_ button located directly above the table. Saved views will appear in the dropdown to the left of the search bar.

**Step 4: **Once all filters and columns are set, click _Download, and select your desired file format. _Your downloaded file will reflect your table configurations.

You can download receipts by clicking _Include receipts in download. _Receipts are in order of purchase date and expense ID, which you’ll see in the report.

You'll then see a banner indicating that your download is in progress. When your download is completed, you will receive a notification in the dashboard. 

### Business account transactions

### In the dashboard

**Step 1: **In your dashboard, go to _Accounts _> _Business accounts_ > View all t_ransactions.  
  
_**Step 2:** Customize your report by adding filters.  
  
**Step 3:** Click _Export_ on the right.

## Account verification document

All account admins have the ability to download a verification letter for their Brex business account. Vendors and other third parties may accept this letter as confirmation of your Brex business account details in lieu of a voided check.  
  
If you need a customized verification letter or to have an audit document signed or notarized, please reach out to Brex Support.

### In the dashboard

**Step 1:** Go to _Accounts.  
  
_**Step 2:** Select the checking account you’d like a verification letter for.  
  
**Step 3:** Go to_ Manage settings > Account details > Download verification letter.   
  
_**Note**: If you don’t see _Manage settings_, click _More actions_, first.

## Voided check

We don’t provide voided checks and instead provide the account verification letter, which you can use as an account verification document to a third party for your Brex business account.
