What are expense comments?
When you or your employee need to ask a question about a transaction, you can use comments within the Brex dashboard or mobile app to do so — without needing to send an email or text on another channel.

Attaching receipts to transactions helps you keep track of company spend and stay compliant. It can even be made into a requirement by adding an expense policy to budgets. But most spend happens on the go, so finding the time to capture and upload receipts can be difficult.
Brex Empower has eliminated the need for multiple cards. Instead, you have one card that can be associated with any budget. If you have multiple budgets, you can toggle the budget tied to your card so that transactions are instantly spent from the appropriate budget.
Your Brex dashboard currently has two different potential appearances: Brex Classic Experience and Brex Empower. You can confirm that you have Brex Empower access if you see a Your wallet tab in the toolbar on the left. You’ll also have a Budgets tab, which is a key feature of Empower.
Admins can create new budgets for both themselves or other users within the dashboard. While employees cannot create their own budget, they can put in a budget request for an admin to review. Admins Step 1: Under Budgets, click Create a new budget at the top right.
Brex Empower is a financial software platform designed to accelerate your business, increase accountability, and make it easy for employees to do the right thing. Empower will guide the future of Brex across cards, payments, spend management, procurement, travel, and more.
Some transactions, such as those that go over the limit of a flexible budget, will need to be approved. Your admin can act as the final approver, but they can also create a chain of approvals by designating a mid-level approver.
Budgets are an easier way to manage and proactively approve expenses for your teams, vendors, stipends, and more. Budgets let you set dynamic spending limits that aren’t tied to one specific card. Employees can have more than one budget assigned to them for all necessary areas of spend.
