What you’ll do
Brex is looking for a Senior brand designer to join the Design team, where you will collaborate with creative directors, designers, marketers, and producers to deliver world-class moments in addition to directing external partners and agencies through concepting, design, and production.
Your role will be leading design for Brex events and experiences, from turnkey booths and activations to digital campaigns, swag items and other supporting deliverables. You will translate brand strategy into immersive experiences across mediums (environmental, digital and print) that drive business impact, as well as balance big-picture storytelling with meticulous craft, ensuring every detail delivers on Brex’s brand standards.
Where you’ll work
This role will be based in our San Francisco office. You must be willing to work in office at least 2 days per week on Wednesday and Thursday. Employees will be able to work remotely for up to 4 weeks per year.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely and clearly articulate design decisions to a vast set of partners including multidisciplinary creatives on the Brand Studio team, our internal partners across Marketing and Product, and external creative agencies and vendors.
- Deliver and solicit feedback to continually improve the Brex brand and raise the quality and craftsmanship of our output; maintaining brand guidelines and a strong attention to detail
- Ability to flex as a brand design generalist while bringing specialized expertise in events and experiential work.
- Translate brand narratives into compelling physical experiences that resonate with target audiences.
- Understands how experiential touch points connect to broader customer journeys and business objectives.
- Balances creative vision with practical execution, ensuring flawless delivery within budget and timeline constraints.
- Contribute to the growth and scale of the design team through referrals, interviewing, and contributing to processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of design and art direction experience across experiential, events, or brand environments.
- Strong portfolio showcasing impactful spatial, event, and interactive brand experiences.
- Ability to design across multiple mediums (spatial, motion, digital, print).
- Hands-on design execution from concept sketches to production-ready files.
- Skilled at working cross-functionally and presenting work to drive alignment and decisions.
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple large-scale projects at once.
Bonus points
- Experience designing for high-growth, global brands.
- Familiarity with digital/physical hybrids (AR, projection mapping, interactive installations).
- Understanding of production processes, fabrication, and vendor management.
- Track record of delivering award-winning or industry-recognized experiential work.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $147,888 - $184,860. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
