Engineering at Brex 

The Engineering team is responsible for building innovative products and infrastructure for both internal and external users. We have multiple autonomous and collaborative teams who are eager to learn, teach, and constantly improve how things work. What you’ll do

As an IT Operations Technician, you will be supporting the various IT needs of Brex employees across all departments and teams. Primarily, your role will be to unblock other employees' work by resolving tickets quickly and efficiently. You will provide excellent customer service by utilizing creative thinking and problem-solving skills, and work within the IT Support Team to build more mature systems and support IT projects across many teams.

Responsibilities

  • Manage IT inventory onsite
  • Coordinate sending and receiving IT equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues for Mac and PC
  • Triage and document steps to simplify escalations
  • Support various IT Systems including Slack, G Suite, Jamf, Okta, Jira, Mac, PC, Zoom, and more
  • Identify Mac and PC hardware issues, work with external vendors to provide repairs and replacements
  • Troubleshoot network issues (DNS, VPN, and WiFi)

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience  
  • Strong Apple support experience
  • Desire to learn new technologies and skills
  • Ability to handle support tickets in line with SLAs
  • Ability to work in Vancouver office as needed

Bonus points

  • Jamf MDM experience
  • Zoom Room configuration experience
  • Experience supporting large meeting AV needs
  • Corporate IT experience

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is $74,400 - $93,000 CAD. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate’s location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
