Meijer is a family-owned retail company that pioneered the modern supercenter concept in 1962, combining a full-service grocery store with general merchandise in a single location. Operating more than 500 supercenters, grocery stores, neighborhood markets, and express locations across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin, Meijer serves Midwest consumers with fresh foods, apparel, household essentials, and health and wellness products. The company offers a free loyalty rewards program called mPerks, as well as per-order home delivery options through Shipt and Buncha. As a privately held, family-operated business since 1934, Meijer has no external parent company and is one of the largest privately-held companies in the United States.
