Carta (legal entity: eShares, Inc. dba Carta, Inc.) is a leading equity management software platform used by over 50,000 companies and 1.7 million equity holders, with more than $4.2 trillion in assets managed on the platform. It offers cap table management, electronic securities issuance, 409A valuations, fund administration, and liquidity solutions for startups, growth-stage companies, and venture capital or private equity firms. Carta operates a freemium model with a free "Carta Launch" tier for early-stage companies with fewer than 25 stakeholders that have raised up to $1 million, while larger companies receive custom enterprise pricing. A typical charge on a user's statement represents a recurring software subscription fee for equity management services, billed on a custom quote basis.
