VATIT integration

Overview

New - Early Access

If you use VATIT for VAT compliance and reclaim, you can connect your Brex account to VATIT to automatically share expense data, so you don’t have to export spreadsheets or manually send receipts.

With this integration, Brex shares expense data one way from Brex to VATIT after you authorize the connection. VATIT then reviews receipt tax compliance, determines reclaimability, and produces transaction-level VAT reclaim reporting you can submit to tax authorities and record in your ERP. This is especially useful for companies that need both domestic and foreign VAT reclaim support beyond Brex’s native VAT tracking.

Before you start

Before connecting VATIT to Brex:

  • Confirm you can sign in to both your Brex account and your VATIT account.
  • Confirm you have permission to manage integrations in Brex.
  • Confirm that two-factor authentication (2FA) is enabled for your Brex account.

When you connect Brex to VATIT, VATIT will be able to access the Brex data included in the authorization request.

Connect Brex to VATIT

To connect your Brex account to VATIT from Brex, follow these steps:

Step 1: In your Brex dashboard, click your name in the top-right corner and go to Integrations.

Step 2: Under Tax Management, select VATIT, then click ‘Connect’.

Step 3: When you’re redirected to VATIT, sign in to your VATIT account.

Step 4: After signing in, you’ll be redirected back to Brex to review and authorize VATIT’s access to your Brex data.

Step 5: Complete the authorization flow in Brex by clicking ‘Allow access'.

Step 6: You’ll be redirected back to VATIT so VATIT can receive the authorization.

Step 7: After the connection is complete, you'll see a confirmation message, then return to Brex and continue your work.

Revoking the connection

If you need to stop sharing Brex data with VATIT, you can revoke the integration from your Brex dashboard.

Step 1: In your Brex dashboard, click your name in the top-right corner and go to Integrations.

Step 2: Find VATIT and click ‘revoke’.

Step 3: Confirm that you want to revoke VATIT’s access.

After access is revoked, VATIT will no longer receive new Brex data through the integration.

Note: Revoking the connection in Brex will not close your VATIT account or stop an active VAT recovery engagement. Contact VATIT directly for questions about your VATIT service, onboarding status, or reporting.
