Earning Brex points
Overview
You’ll start earning Brex points for expenses made on your Brex card that meet certain criteria. After you’ve accumulated enough points, you can start redeeming them towards any one of our numerous rewards. Your Brex points will never expire as long as your Brex account is active — you don't have to use them in a certain timeframe. Unlike other card programs, Brex rewards multipliers are unlimited. As you grow, you'll keep earning the maximum number of points.
Earning points
Different types of expenses made on your Brex card may or may not earn points. The general criteria for whether or not any given expense will earn points is outlined below. For more in-depth information, you can also see our Rewards terms.
What earns you points
You’ll earn points for the following:
- USD-denominated transactions made with merchants in the US using your Brex cards.
- This is not limited by card type — transactions made on both physical and virtual cards will earn points.
- Bookings made through Brex travel (flights and prepaid hotels only)
- Unless otherwise specified in your contract, you will earn 4x points on flights and hotel bookings made with Brex travel and prepaid with your Brex card. Points will be granted after the trip is completed.
- You'll get an extra 1x points boost when you have a Brex business account and make daily payments.
- For any other bookings on your Brex card, you’ll earn one point per $1 spent.
- International bookings processed as international purchases are not eligible for points.
- Unless otherwise specified in your contract, you will earn 4x points on flights and hotel bookings made with Brex travel and prepaid with your Brex card. Points will be granted after the trip is completed.
- Bills paid in USD by one-time virtual cards
What doesn't earn you points
Transfers through your Brex business account such as ACH, wires, or sending/depositing checks.
Points earned on an expense
Clicking into an individual card expense in your dashboard lets you view details on when it occurred and an approximate timeline of when the points will reflect in your points balance. For redemptions, you'll also be able to see who redeemed the points and in what way.
