# Enable p-cards and employee cards in Settings

Premium and Enterprise customers can now enable purchasing cards and employee card limits directly  in your Brex dashboard. No support ticket required.

Premium and Enterprise admins can now enable [employee card limits](https://www.brex.com/https://www.brex.com/support/brex-card-overview#limits) and [P-cards](https://www.brex.com/https://www.brex.com/support/brex-card-overview#brex-card-types) for their company.



Employee card limits allow customers to issue an employee card with a built-in limit, without having to issue and manage spend limits separately. When employee card limits are enabled, admins can set a built-in monthly employee card limit and track usage in the _Card limit_ column. Disabling it will require users to spend from their assigned spend limits instead.



P-Cards are designed to support operational spend such as recurring vendor spend. It comes with features like a built-in card limit, auto-transfer for recurring spend continuity, accounting pre-coding, and spend requests can be approved as a new P-Card. When enabled, admins can create P-Cards, in addition to Employee cards (enabled by default for all customers). When P-card are enabled, admins can issue P-cards. P-cards cannot be disabled once they are enabled.



Both features are off by default. To enable employee card limits, navigate to _Settings > Expenses > Cards_. To enable P-cards, navigate to _Settings > Plan_.
