Sales at Brex

The Sales team is the driving factor behind revenue for Brex. Every member of our team directly affects our bottom line. We focus on generating new opportunities, acquiring new customers, and building even stronger relationships with our current customers. What you’ll do

You’ll be on the Relationship Management team focused on upselling Brex Venture Debt, a new debt product for venture-backed companies that was launched in 2021. You will work closely with our existing Relationship Management to identify deal opportunities and will lead conversations with clients to educate and pitch clients, and qualify opportunities. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Source pipeline of high-value venture backed clients by working with the existing Relationship Management team, using your existing network of founders, execs, and VC firms, and leveraging Brex’s proprietary data 
  • Drive conversations with new venture debt prospects, educating them on the capital markets and venture debt financing solutions and being the face of this new debt product 
  • Pitch clients on Brex Venture Debt and broadly on Brex, while selling against other products in the market
  • Work with the underwriting team to assess the strengths/risks of each deal and assist in deal structuring
  • Present term sheets to clients and negotiate directly with exec teams to creatively win deals 
  • Develop new origination channels/methodologies and help develop processes to streamline deal process

 

Requirements

  • >5 years of RM/Sales experience at a top tech-focused bank or fund
  • Intimate knowledge of the early-stage venture-backed capital markets landscape (equity and debt)
  • Track record of selling and negotiating debt products and winning competitive debt deals
  • Experience working with C-level executives and founders of top-tier tech companies (Seed to Series A/B/C)
