Operations at Brex

The Operations team is the bridge between our product and our customers. Our priority is to keep our customers happy and their businesses protected while delivering vital information back to our internal teams. We are responsible for underwriting all of our customers, while simultaneously managing Brex’s risk exposures. We work cross-functionally with Risk, Compliance, Data, and Engineering to allow Brex to scale efficiently, keeping quality top of mind.

What you’ll do

As a Capacity Planning Analyst on Brex’s WFO team you will be responsible for building and maintaining forecast and capacity models to support our Operations organization. Great capacity plans balance the needs of our customers, employees, and investors. As such, you will work closely with a variety of key stakeholders including; Operations Leadership, Recruiting, Data, Finance, Engineering, and more to ensure that our models represent the absolute best information available to ensure we are properly staffed to support Brex’s explosive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain accurate forecasts and detailed capacity plans to provide your Operations and Finance partners with the information they need to staff in order to achieve service levels and financial targets
  • Develop strong relationships with your key stakeholders to stay informed of upcoming changes that will impact your respective organizations
  • Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles used to review historical performance and revise your respective forecasts and capacity plans with the latest information
  • Support ad-hoc modeling and “what-if” scenario analyses in partnership with Finance, Operations, and/or Data partners
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards used to conduct variance analysis of all key model inputs

Requirements

  • 5+ Years of WFM experience
  • 2+ Years of experience building and maintaining models for forecasting and capacity planning
  • Advanced skill set in MS Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills

Bonus points

  • Understanding of the Credit and/or Financial Services industry
  • Managing models for hybrid (In-house + BPO) operations
  • Experience planning for Financial Services Backoffice teams
  • Moderate SQL skills 
  • Experience with Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar BI platform
