Marketing at Brex

The Marketing team tells the Brex story, determines messaging and positioning, and translates our reimagined products and features into tangible customer benefits. Our marketers—across Brand, PMM, Content, and Performance—are responsible for acquiring new customers and have a deep understanding of the business. We’re a highly cross-functional team and partner most closely with the Product, Sales, BD, and Design teams to help our prospects and customers grasp how we can help them reach their full potential.

What you’ll do

Brex’s first product,  the ‘Corporate card for startups,’ is used by 9 in 10 Y Combinator startups. Since publicly launching three years ago, Brex has become much more than just a corporate card and now offers all-in-one finance for both Tech Entrepreneurs and our broader  business community. In this role you will build on Brex’s already high awareness and customer advocacy within the venture-backed Tech community. This role will partner closely with our investor channel team, our accelerator and incubator partners, and take a creative approach to unlocking new and inventive digital and physical channels. 

The role is best suited for someone with experience across partner marketing, demand generation, community building, and feels confident activating a multi-pronged approach to defending Brex as the #1 player in this space.

 

Responsibilities

  • Activate multi-channel strategy leveraging cross-functional support from our demand gen, partnerships, relationship, and channel team to build a community Brex for Tech Entrepreneurs
  • Lead our events strategy and execute it with support from our investor channel team
  • Partner with our brand team to launch above the line multi-channel brand campaigns that serve, sustain, and build our brand awareness while ‘softening the ground’ for our sales team
  • Develop, implement and optimize our Brex Community strategy to deliver incremental value, connections, and experiences for our Tech Entrepreneurs

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience with partner marketing, demand generation, and/or community marketing
  • Proven success building multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication
  • Growth mindset and excited by the challenge of building a program from the ground up
  • Ability to travel 2-3 times per quarter for marketing events/conferences (we can share this load to accommodate personal circumstances)
  • Passion for the Tech entrepreneurs and the venture-backed tech community

Bonus points

  • Experience founding a venture-backed tech company or working directly with Tech accelerators, investors, or incubators
