The Engineering team includes Data, IT, Security, and Software, and is responsible for building innovative products and infrastructure for Brex and our customers. We believe that engineers should accelerate the business through technology, and collaborate across multiple teams to accomplish that.

What you’ll do

As the Technical Program Manager for the Developer Experience group, you will be responsible for guiding the strategy and roadmap of the group, aligning multiple teams and stakeholders, and defining product features, models and tools to shape the developer experience at Brex. You will work with Engineering leadership and ICs from multiple teams to create a collaboration model that sets the group up for success now and in the future. You’ll inspire a data-driven culture of customer love while you drive user interviews, synthesize feedback, aggregate data, and prioritize features for our teams to work on.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the strategy and roadmap across the Developer Experience’s products and services, working closely with stakeholders from across Engineering
  • Build a deep understanding of what developers need to successfully utilize Brex’s developer experience ecosystem through strategic customer research
  • Define new products and features by working closely with engineering leaders and teams
  • Set clear goals and metrics for the team as well as new products and features and be held accountable for achieving them

Requirements

  • Experience working with a team to build systems from the ground up and executing within tight timelines 
  • Previous work experience as a software engineer, or previous experience as a Product Manager or Technical Program Manager in a developer tools-focused role 
  • Can work across the entire business stack and make an impact at different stages of the product: building vision & strategy, ensuring all the loose ends are tied up when executing, and making sure the operational components to support your product line are in place
  • Obsess about continuous product improvement based on customer feedback and data
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate problems we face as a business as well as evangelize the value of our offerings to the rest of the company

Bonus points

  • The ability to inspire and lead a cross-functional project effectively (providing updates, meeting deadlines and driving decisions forward)
  • Experience creating a centralized product feedback process that helped contribute to quarterly planning and product prioritization
  • Experience writing/editing/contributing to documentation, training materials, help articles to support product launches
  • Running QA testing programs for product launches
  • Prior experience using tools (such as Snowflake, Looker, SQL) to derive insight and metrics from data to drive overall team strategy
  • Excited about building internal tooling to create a strong impact on the rest of the engineering organization
