Marketing at Brex 

The Marketing team tells the Brex story, determines messaging and positioning, and translates our reimagined products and features into tangible customer benefits. Our marketers—across Brand, Product Marketing, Content, and Growth—are responsible for acquiring customers and have a deep understanding of the business. We’re a highly cross-functional team and partner most closely with Product, Sales, BD, and Design to help our prospects and customers understand how we can help them reach their full potential.

 

What you’ll do

The Director of Market Strategy & Insights will be responsible for building the inbound product marketing function and scaling impact inside of Brex. You will collaborate closely with product, operations, and sales leadership to build our intelligence engine, enabling Brex to access and take action on relevant customer feedback and competitive insights. You will align and enable internal teams, driving communication loops and visibility to inform product priorities and go-to-market success. You will build a highly versatile team of analytically-minded product marketers, responsible for research, voice-of-customer, and competitive messaging & positioning. You are obsessed with delivering value to customers, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day presents new challenges and opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build a market intelligence program that systematizes the way Brex consumes, distributes, and operationalizes market insights.
  • Curate and share intel on competing products and value propositions; create materials to enable reps and marketers to articulate the unique value of Brex.
  • Collaborate across marketing, sales, and product to define our Voice of Customer programs, including capturing field insights and leveraging our Customer Advisory Boards to inform product and sales strategies.
  • Invest in deeply understanding the customer; lead qualitative and quantitative research to validate or disprove internal hypotheses and build confidence in our messaging and positioning; own our ideal customer profile. 
  • Optimize pricing & packaging to align price to value for all customer segments.
  • Recommend product enhancements based on customer inputs and competitive pressures. 
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of product marketers who work cross-functionally to consistently deliver strategic insights and surface opportunities to improve business outcomes. 

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, consulting, operations, or market research.
  • 5+ years working in B2B SaaS
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally with both internal creative and external teams and partners in product, sales, corporate development, finance, and operations. 
  • Ability to be creative and think outside the box and be flexible and fluid with changing project parameters, including: shifts in timing, messaging, and adjustments in scope and scale
